Training During Coronavirus

This is a tricky time and there are lots of variables and uncertainties at play. But the good thing is that we can still train!

For those of you who are unable to get to the City or get to your gym - you have options! You don’t need to miss out on your personal training.

  • Video PT sessions

    • I’ve found that one to one video PT sessions are working really well. It’s actually quite fun! I can demonstrate movements, help you with your form and encourage/push you just like at the gym.

    • Shoot me a message to find out more.

  • Online Group Classes

    • From HIIT to Stretch & Flow, there’s a class that’ll suit you! Check out the class schedule here.

  • We can create programs for you to train remotely

    • I can create workouts for you to do wherever suits you. I’ll work with you to create a plan that takes into consideration the type of equipment (if any) you have access to, and if it suits you, we can arrange regular check ins, even video calls while you train.

    • Check out the online training program page for all the details

If you’re hitting some workouts on your own, check out my Exercise Library for videos and explanations to popular movements.

The important thing is that we have options, no matter your situation, and it’s really important for your health to keep moving.

Training is essential for your health in so many ways, but importantly during a time like this, it helps your immune system and it can help you regulate stress.

Some tips and tricks to stay sane during Coronavirus:

  • Sleep! Get as much good quality sleep as you can. Sleep deprivation will suppress your immune system.

  • Water! Stay hydrated. This is your first line of defense. Your body simply doesn’t function without it.

  • Vitamin D. Obviously we are a bit lacking in the old sunshine at the moment. This might be a good time to get a Vitamin D supplement. Of course, always consult your medical professional first.

  • Exercise! Making you stronger and more resilient in body and mind. Sweat out those toxins and relieve your stress.

  • Eat well. Eat nutritious food, get those micro nutrients in and give your body the fuel to power through.

  • If you are feeling poorly, listen to your body, take it easy and seek help.

  • Wash your hands.

  • Social Distancing - DO IT.

  • Stay up to date with the information and advice from the NHS.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any concerns. Let’s find a way for you to keep training, no matter your situation.
